Top SchoolRichard T is a retired corporate and transactional attorney turned academic who brings 11 years of formal experience and decades of transactional practice to his role as Adjunct Professor of Mergers & Acquisitions at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (teaching 2020–25). He spent two decades in major law firms, including partnership at K&L Gates, advising on M&A, private equity, securities offerings and joint ventures for clients across industry and finance. As Executive Director of Pitt’s Center for International Legal Education he combined program leadership, international recruitment, curriculum design and mid-six-figure budget management, reflecting both academic and operational acumen. Comfortable at the intersection of practice and pedagogy, he also brings scholarly rigor from a Ph.D. in History (Princeton) and a J.D. from Yale, an uncommon academic trajectory that informs his practical teaching.
