Top SchoolRichard Van Den Brand is a DevOps engineer and certified Symfony developer with 14 years of experience building cloud-native web systems and leading engineering teams from Breda, Netherlands. He combines hands-on infrastructure work—CI/CD, Ansible, Kubernetes and Docker—with pragmatic backend expertise in PHP/Symfony to deliver reliable, scalable products. As founder of Keep Getting Better and co-founder of REALTEQ, he balances rapid value-driven delivery with long-term architectural quality and has repeatedly helped teams scale, including growing AutoManager from 4 to 8 engineers and setting up a Polish nearshore. Richard is an active open-source contributor and technical writer who preferences clean, well-architected code and often shares tooling and deployment insights on his blog. He brings an operator-developer mindset honed across startups and scale-ups, capable of moving projects from prototype to acquisition-ready stability. An understated strength is his knack for embedding developer experience improvements (testing, CI, automated deployments) that sustainably raise team velocity and product quality.
