Top SchoolRichard Vance is a technical lead with three decades of engineering experience and a modern focus on JavaScript ecosystems—React, Redux, GraphQL, Nx, and Nest.js—delivering frontend-first architecture and monorepo strategies. He brings 5+ years of formal technical leadership and nine years of recent experience in senior engineering roles, including architecting and owning an Nx monorepo and aiware.js SDK used across multiple teams. A long-time remote worker (15 years), he’s skilled at mentoring teams, enforcing code quality, and driving cross-functional collaboration between product, design, and backend groups. Richard combines deep legacy systems knowledge (C, ColdFusion, ASP.NET) with contemporary TypeScript tooling and build optimization, making him adept at modernizing large codebases. He maintains a public portfolio (13d.io) that reflects a pragmatic, performance-minded approach to building reusable UI platforms.
