Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolRick Boykin is a seasoned Staff Software Engineer with 17+ years building scalable, cross-platform systems for clients ranging from NASA and Boeing to Warner Brothers and Oracle. He blends deep systems and graphics experience (OpenGL, C/C++) with modern cloud-native and full-stack tooling (TypeScript, React, AWS, Lambda, GraphQL), frequently moving between hands-on development and high-level architecture. As a founder and technical leader he has led product and engineering teams, launched startups, and driven CTO-level decisions on architecture, estimates, and devops. Based in Boulder, he thrives on continuous learning and enjoys solving diverse domain problems—from aerospace visualization to consumer-facing mobile apps—often choosing the most pragmatic technology for the job. A less obvious strength is his longevity across both legacy systems (Solaris, embedded tooling) and cutting-edge serverless architectures, giving him rare breadth when modernizing complex systems.
