Top SchoolRick Christy is a seasoned pastor with over three decades of ministry experience, currently serving as Senior Pastor at Doster Community Reformed Church and holding long-term ties with the Reformed Church in America. Trained with an M.Div. from Western Theological Seminary and a B.S. in Geology, he blends thoughtful theological grounding with practical leadership in worship, discipleship, and outreach. Known for preaching, pastoral counseling (including divorce care), and developing vibrant worship teams, he also brings musical gifts—guitar, bass, saxophone, and singing—that shape congregational life. Rick has experience navigating church transitions, including leading congregations through financial and organizational challenges, and he prioritizes forming fully devoted followers characterized by faith, love, and hope. Outside the pulpit he balances ministry with relatable pastimes—coaching football and table tennis, deer hunting, and a trademark sense of humor that colleagues call “a friendly old nerd.”
