Top SchoolRick Van Der Straeten is a Shopify-focused frontend founder and developer with 8 years of experience building conversion-driven, design-forward e-commerce storefronts. Based in Haarlem, Netherlands, he combines strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Liquid skills with a designer’s eye from formal multimedia and graphic design studies. He has progressed from internships at bunq and small agencies to lead developer roles and now runs two ventures, applying pragmatic performance optimizations and custom theme work to boost brand visibility. Rick is comfortable shipping end-to-end storefront solutions, collaborating across teams, and taking ownership of projects and timelines. Notably, his background in fintech and fast-paced product teams gave him early responsibility for customer-facing features, shaping a practical, user-first approach to commerce UX.
