Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolRicky Mormor is a pragmatic full-stack software developer with eight years of experience building scalable web and payment systems, currently contributing at PullRequest from Calgary. He specializes in Elixir-driven backends and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frontends (React, Next.js), and has repeatedly used Elixir for high-throughput tasks like AMQP migrations, GenServer-based batch processing, and secure QR code encryption. Ricky led major overhauls of POS and scan-to-pay platforms, refactored legacy systems for maintainability, and built multi-purpose QR modules reused across products—demonstrating a focus on durable, production-ready engineering. He pairs hands-on implementation with developer tooling improvements from his time as a technical reviewer at Microverse, where he automated environments to speed code review cycles. Comfortable bridging frontend UX needs and backend architecture, he also brings product and growth sensibilities from earlier e-commerce and marketing leadership roles.
