Senior🎓
Top SchoolRiley Hilliard is a seasoned software engineer and data wrangler with 12 years of experience building large-scale web platforms and developer-facing products from startup to enterprise. He’s shipped foundational systems at LinkedIn that powered real-time messaging and the feed, architected performance and reliability improvements, and later helped mid-market companies run open-source AI on their own hardware as a staff fullstack engineer at webAI. As a founding engineer at Tesuto (acquired by Fastly) he built interactive network emulation UIs used to safely test global CDN changes, and today he’s focused on making messy public datasets usable via a unified OpenData API. Riley spans the full stack—TypeScript/Electron frontends, Go runtimes, and Python AI services—while also optimizing CI/CD, startup infrastructure, and production performance. He brings entrepreneurial curiosity and hands-on craftsmanship rooted in a teenage love of hacking hardware and networks, and he routinely shares practical technical work and data-driven insights with the community. Based in Austin, he balances product-level architecture with boots-on-the-ground engineering to make complex systems accessible and secure.
