Senior🎓
Top SchoolRiley Patterson is a seasoned software engineer and founder with 11 years building scalable, production-grade systems across startups and major engineering teams. He co-founded and led backend architecture for a privacy-focused group chat product at Wavelength, shipping end-to-end encryption, Rust/Go services, and AI bot integrations, and earlier led engineering at Telepath to grow the product and its infrastructure from prototype to public launch. At Quora he spent five years evolving platform frameworks, deployment tooling, and large rearchitectures, rising to staff engineer and engineering manager. More recently he’s focused on systems and infrastructure for reinforcement-learning-driven math models at Harmonic, productionizing research and scaling clusters. Riley combines hands-on low-level work (C encryption libraries, distributed caches) with product-facing design and team leadership, often bridging research, backend reliability, and client integrations. Based in Austin, he brings an unusual mix of cryptography, large-scale distributed systems, and ML-infrastructure experience.
