Summary
👤
SeniorRizwan Choudrey is a senior software engineer in London with 11 years of experience building resilient backend systems, cloud infrastructure and full-stack products across startups and enterprise environments. With a PhD in Machine Learning from Oxford and a first-class MSci in Physics from Imperial, he combines deep quantitative rigor with practical engineering—having built hybrid stochastic models in investment banking and production-grade services in SaaS. He’s led and scaled engineering teams at Encord and Garrison, owning recruitment, performance reviews, architecture and delivery while also driving DevOps transformations that cut deployment time and human error. Technically versatile, he ships Python, Go and Kotlin services backed by Postgres on GCP/Kubernetes, and has hands-on security experience from TLS/OpenSSL to encryption and certificates. Notably comfortable straddling research and product, he’s rebuilt legacy native apps into a shared C++ codebase and designed graph-based workflow systems for customers. He’s now applying that blend of mathematical thinking and systems craftsmanship to drive measurable impact at nPlan.
