Senior🎓
Top SchoolRob Brander is a Senior Full-stack Developer based in Old Toronto with 10+ years building robust web platforms using TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js and React. He excels at mentoring teams, introducing best practices, and translating complex technical ideas into clear, actionable plans for both developers and non-technical stakeholders. Rob has repeatedly improved developer velocity and code quality—running workshops, pair programming, and interactive code reviews that have leveled up juniors to intermediates. His background spans architecting internal tools and CMS platforms, optimizing performance (e.g., 40% faster renderings), and delivering production-ready libraries on sprint cadences. He favors simple, readable solutions and consciously avoids over-engineering, while still planning ahead for maintainability and scale. Notably, despite deep React/Next.js expertise, he explicitly does not work with Angular, which helps set clear expectations for client engagements.
