Top SchoolRob Brown is a veteran software engineer with over 25 years of experience who blends deep product design instincts with modern AI and web development expertise. Known for inventing AccuDraw—celebrated as a transformative 3D CAD tool—and for inspiring browser tooling like Firebug through his Aardvark extension, he has a track record of creating widely adopted developer and creative tools. Rob has shipped cross-platform front-end systems for embedded and streaming devices, led principal engineering at Bentley Systems, and now focuses on AI consulting and freelance product work out of San Francisco. He rose rapidly in the early Netflix Prize leaderboard with improvised machine-learning approaches and later documented those ideas in a widely circulated essay, showing a knack for unconventional problem solving. Equally at home with B-spline surface modeling from the 80s and contemporary AI-driven image and coding tools, he thrives on turning experimental ideas into polished, user-facing products.
