Top SchoolRob Fowler is an experienced financial markets developer and technical leader with over 25 years building real-time trading systems across equities, options, bonds, swaps, crypto and consumer finance. He blends low-level performance expertise in Assembly, C and C++ with Python-driven backend and DevOps work, having led matching engine, gateway and payments platforms from startup to institutional exchange contexts. Rob has held senior technology and head-of-markets roles, shipping production-grade systems for NASDAQ OMX, Computershare, and several fintech and crypto firms, and now leads execution services at Auros. He is adept at architecting high-throughput matching engines and payment rails while also operationalising deployments with SaltStack and AWS. A detail-oriented engineer who started in embedded and radio firmware, he brings an uncommon mix of microcontroller-level rigor and large-scale trading systems design. Based in Sydney, he pairs deep domain knowledge with a pragmatic focus on reliability, observability and low-latency performance.
