Top SchoolRobbie Culkin is a Lead Software Engineer in San Francisco with nine years of experience building mission-critical systems at the intersection of natural language processing, information retrieval, and user behavior modeling. He leads technical and product development for autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) mission planning at Bedrock Ocean Exploration, shaping algorithms and UI that turn high-level survey goals into executable vehicle commands. His background includes data science roles at Intuitive and machine-learning internships at SPAWAR, and he has taught computer science at Santa Clara University, reflecting a blend of research, applied ML, and mentorship. Robbie’s work spans full-stack survey tooling—from real-time mission planners to Mosaic, a web-based 3D seafloor visualization used across operations and geophysics teams.
