Senior🎓
Top SchoolRobert Bagheri is an Associate Professor in Applied Data Science at Utrecht University with eight years of experience translating NLP and text-mining research into practical tools for health, education, and social science. His work blends deep learning, active learning, and explainable ML to build intelligent systems that mine large-scale text data and support automated systematic reviewing (notably via contributions to the ASReview team). He leads interdisciplinary projects within the Human Data Science group and has a strong track record from doctoral research to faculty roles at Utrecht and collaborations at UMC Utrecht and University of Twente. Known for making complex models interpretable for domain experts, he focuses on real-world impact rather than purely methodological advances.
