Summary
👤
SeniorRobert C. Cain is a seasoned Business Intelligence Engineer and owner of Arcane Training & Consulting with over 25 years in IT and nine years focused in BI roles, currently delivering BI solutions at KENT® Corporation. A prolific educator and author, he has produced Pluralsight courses since 2011, coauthored five books, and was a Microsoft Data Platform MVP from 2008–2018. His consulting and training work spans industries from nuclear power and aerospace to finance and healthcare, giving him deep domain experience translating complex operational data into actionable analytics. Technically fluent across the Microsoft SQL Server BI stack, PowerShell, Azure and Kusto Query Language, he combines hands-on implementation with curriculum design and public speaking at major events like PASS Summit and TechEd. As a longtime consultant and former senior architect, he excels at bridging stakeholder needs and technical delivery while mentoring teams. An interesting, less obvious strength is his sustained commitment to teaching—offering free Pluralsight access and running both live and on-demand courses that amplify his practical expertise.
