Robert De Waard is a composer and seasoned software professional with a decade of experience blending analytical engineering skills and creative composition, focused on game development and music production. Based in Rhenen, Netherlands, he’s been self-employed since 2019–2020 as an indie game developer and composer, applying Unity, AI, and networking know-how honed during an internship building systems for Wuppo Breft Festival Forever. Earlier roles as CTO at Bitonic and software engineer positions show deep full-stack and systems experience, giving him the technical breadth to prototype interactive audio and gameplay systems end-to-end. He holds ICT and computer science training from HAN and the University of Twente, bringing both formal CS foundations and entrepreneurial product experience. Notably, he intentionally leverages both “analytical and creative brain parts,” making him well-suited to build emotionally resonant game audio that is technically robust.
