Top SchoolRobert Heuts is an experienced engineering manager and hands-on technologist with 20+ years spanning hardware, web, mobile, and large-scale cloud-native systems. He has led teams that built AWS Amplify Console and data platforms for Kindle recommendations, then deliberately returned to senior engineering work to deepen practical expertise in AI and recommender systems. Comfortable toggling between people leadership and deep technical delivery, he has driven CI/CD, data-lake pipelines, and AI-augmented development practices at scale. Based in Hengelo, Netherlands, he combines a formal MSc in Computer Science/HMI with a track record of shipping production services at Amazon and leading cross-border engineering teams. Notably, he pivoted from managerial roles to reclaim hands-on mastery of modern ML tooling, signaling a rare blend of strategic leadership and current technical fluency.
