Wales, United Kingdom
Summary
👤
SeniorRobert Johnstone is a DevOps engineer with 11 years of experience building and modernising production systems across public sector and commercial environments from Llanmorlais, Wales. He combines hands-on Python development with cloud-native infrastructure work—shipping serverless AWS migrations, Terraform-driven environments and CI/CD pipelines that have cut operations from hours to minutes. Robert has led high-availability projects including a government Discover Uni modernisation and image-processing platforms for large automotive marketplaces, and now maintains critical services at UKTV. He is comfortable translating messy legacy code into documented, testable systems and mentoring junior engineers to raise delivery standards. Pragmatic and results-focused, he often finds elegant automation opportunities that save substantial time and risk while keeping client operations resilient.
