Top SchoolRobert Marrowstone is a Senior Software Development Engineer with over a decade of production experience and four years focused on advanced data systems at Amazon and AWS. He has driven performance, correctness, and usability improvements for ion-python and led integration of the PartiQL query language and OLTP database prototyping, blending deep systems engineering with practical query planning and DML implementation. His background spans large-scale accounting systems, agile leadership as a scrum master, and backend data services using Python and Kotlin, showing comfort across languages and architectures. Trained in philosophy with a computer science minor, he brings a clear, analytical approach to designing semi-structured data solutions and improving developer-facing tooling. Notably, he pairs open-source stewardship (ion-python) with hands-on product-delivery at cloud scale, making him effective at bridging research, engineering, and operational concerns.
