Top SchoolRobert Mcdowell is a seasoned IT executive with 11+ years in leadership roles and a track record of delivering multi-million-dollar ERP, WMS, and supply chain transformations across manufacturing and distribution. As Director of IT and former Practice Director, he combines hands-on software and scripting expertise (Perl, PHP, Python, Bash, PowerShell) with enterprise architecture discipline to retrofit thousands of objects and manage programs up to $35M. He’s known for translating complex business needs into practical roadmaps, introducing architectural governance, and driving measurable operational gains—such as $4M in annual inventory cost savings and a 15% warehouse footprint reduction. Equally comfortable mentoring teams and negotiating vendor contracts, he blends technical depth with stakeholder diplomacy to align IT initiatives to corporate strategy. Based in Lake Zurich, he leverages a civil engineering foundation from UIUC to approach systems design with an engineer’s rigor and an operator’s focus on efficiency.
