Summary
👤
SeniorRobert Stern is a versatile senior software engineer with 12 years of experience designing and operating cloud-native, microservice-based systems across finance, e‑commerce and commodities trading. He has hands-on expertise in DevOps and backend development—Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Java, Spring Boot, Golang, Kafka/RabbitMQ, MongoDB/Oracle and CI/CD automation—and has led platform, migration and TDD/clean-code initiatives. As a lead engineer and trainer he’s mentored teams in TDD, clean code and agile practices while delivering reusable platform blueprints, automated deployments and performance-sensitive services. Notable projects include architecting cloud replacements for legacy systems, introducing Docker developer platforms, and building automated maven code generators for microservice artifacts. Based in Valencia but with wide international delivery experience, he’s currently on sabbatical and not seeking new opportunities. An understated strength is pairing deep operational knowledge with developer-facing tooling to make complex distributed systems reliably repeatable.
