Top SchoolRobert Van Drunen is a DevOps and platform engineer with 15+ years of hands-on experience designing and leading complex, mission-critical systems across the Geo-ICT and public safety sectors. He has architected and maintained spatially-enabled databases and hybrid stacks—from Oracle Spatial backends to Java, Delphi, .NET and PHP web frontends—powering large Dutch organisations such as Rijkswaterstaat, KLIC and telecom operators. Currently at ASML after platform and software engineering roles via Team Rockstars IT, he blends deep domain knowledge of cadastral and infrastructure data with practical DevOps practices to keep high-volume production services reliable. Known for taking technical project lead roles, he pairs system architecture skills with end-user training and open-source tooling, and often operates at the intersection of spatial data, enterprise databases and cloud-native platforms. An understated strength is his ability to translate intricate, regulation-driven business rules into robust, auditable systems used at national scale.
