Senior🎓
Top SchoolRoberto García is a Full Professor at Universitat de Lleida with 14 years of academic and research experience at the intersection of Semantic Web, blockchain and data sovereignty, focused on practical deployments like data spaces and digital agriculture. He blends deep ontology engineering and HCI expertise with hands-on work in decentralized applications, Ethereum/Solidity and RESTful Web services, often translating research into industry-facing demonstrators (e.g., Semantis and AgrospAI). A frequent visiting researcher at leading labs (MIT, UBC, RMIT, FBK) and former deputy vice-rector, he combines institutional leadership in research transfer with technical mentorship. His unusual pairing of a PhD in Computer Science with formal training in copyright law and blockchain developer education enables him to tackle legal, semantic and technical aspects of content and data governance.
