Senior🎓
Top SchoolRobin Ince is a Senior ML & Neural Scientist with 17 years of experience translating neuroscience into production-ready machine learning systems, currently leading ML efforts at Atlas while holding an Honorary Senior Research Fellowship at the University of Glasgow. His background spans deep computational neuroscience research—optimising whole-brain mutual information calculations by two orders of magnitude, rebuilding MEG preprocessing pipelines, and analysing large multi-TB neuroimaging datasets—to applied data science roles in industry. He combines expertise in information theory, signal processing, and scalable scientific software (MATLAB, Fortran, OpenMP, distributed computing) with practical engineering experience from roles at Fab Inc and Kernel. Based in Glasgow, he is distinctive for bridging rigorous theoretical analysis with pragmatic performance tuning and pipeline engineering, delivering measurable improvements in both research quality and system throughput.
