Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolRobin Raymond is an expert software architect and technical leader with over three decades of hands-on experience and 11 years of recent industry tenure focused on highly scalable, asynchronous network and peer-to-peer telecommunications systems. He has led engineering teams and served in executive roles (CTO, Chief Architect, CEO) while architecting core real-time communication stacks—WebRTC/ORTC, SIP, ICE, STUN/TURN, RTP/DTLS—and contributing to standards and RFCs. His background spans founding startups, shipping widely used SIP softphone technology, and driving ORTC/WebRTC implementations for platforms from HoloLens to mobile, reflecting deep cross-platform C++/Java/C# expertise and modern Golang/WebRTC work. More recently he worked as a Principal Engineer at Microsoft and built media backends using Go, Pion SFU and GCP, showing he blends legacy protocol mastery with cloud-native, real-time media engineering. Known for both low-level protocol design and high-level product leadership, he brings a rare combination of standards influence, production-grade multimedia engineering, and long-term entrepreneurial perspective. Based in Ottawa, he pairs institutional memory from the dawn of personal computing with continued delivery of cutting-edge RTC systems.
