Top SchoolRodrigo Gonçalves is a senior engineering manager specializing in machine learning and large-scale agent/productivity platforms, currently leading ML engineering at Zendesk after a decade of progressive leadership roles at Talkdesk. He has deep experience designing and delivering high-traffic systems—previously overseeing products serving 60–160K+ users monthly and millions of interactions—with responsibility for geographically distributed teams across Portugal, Brazil, China and remote hubs. Rodrigo blends hands-on mobile and platform engineering roots (iOS, SDKs, real-time secure apps) with strategic people and org design, having managed teams of 40+ and multiple engineering managers. He is skilled at aligning product, design and technical stakeholders to ship robust integrations (notably Salesforce work and contact-center productivity tooling) at scale. Based in Mafra, Lisbon, he brings a pragmatic mix of delivery discipline, security-conscious architecture, and operational rigor honed across startups and enterprise environments. Colleagues describe him as a systems thinker who translates mobile-era technical constraints into reliable, enterprise-grade platform solutions.
