Rodrigo Souza
Stockholm, Stockholm County, Sweden
Summary
👤
SeniorRodrigo Souza is a multilingual full-stack software engineer with 13 years of experience building cloud-native microservices, event-driven systems and developer-friendly platforms. Currently at Klarna in Stockholm, he blends hands-on backend work across PHP, Ruby, Go, Python, Java and .NET with modern front-end and mobile expertise in React, Angular, Vue and React Native. He has repeatedly led architecture and DevOps initiatives—introducing IaC with Terraform/Ansible, running Kubernetes and Istio service mesh, and maturing CI/CD pipelines across Jenkins, Buildkite and GitHub workflows. As a former tech lead at SumUp and architect at Sami, he drove event-driven integrations (Google Pub/Sub, FHIR) and platform migration efforts that improved resilience and ownership across teams. Rodrigo pairs pragmatic engineering with product sensibility from his Product Manager stint, so he thinks in terms of user journeys, operational reliability and auditability. Calm under pressure (as his GitHub bio jokes), he favors clean architecture, DDD practices and empowering teams to own infrastructure.
