Rohan Byrne is a mathematician-turned-founder and software engineer building Rogue Science to modernise how analysts create and collaborate on complex simulation models. With a PhD in planetary geophysics from the University of Melbourne and eight years’ experience bridging academia, policy and science communication, he has applied his modelling tools to real-world problems from Australia’s COVID response to planetary fluid dynamics. Rohan combines deep research expertise (working with Underworld2) and product-minded engineering to turn computational science into usable, collaborative software. He’s as comfortable tutoring and advising on policy as he is shipping core simulation features, and he intentionally designs tools for interdisciplinary teams rather than siloed specialists.
A planetary-scale suite-modelling tool based on Underworld2 (largely PhD work).
