Top SchoolRoman Putanowicz is Chief Scientific Officer at Cybid and a computational engineering specialist with 15 years of experience applying mathematical modeling and FEA to public safety simulations in virtual environments. He progressed from research and teaching roles at Cracow University of Technology to industry leadership, bridging academic rigor from a PhD at Heriot-Watt with hands-on skills in Python, Matlab, C++, Fortran and large-scale simulation workflows. At Cybid he combines domain expertise and practical engineering to translate advanced numerical methods into deployable simulation products. Known for deep technical grounding rather than managerial posturing, he often works directly on algorithms and code while stewarding R&D strategy. Based in Krakow, he brings a blend of pedagogy and product-focused research that accelerates innovation in safety-critical simulations.
