Top SchoolRon Appleton is a Backend Engineer with nine years of commercial experience building RESTful APIs and cleaning up legacy codebases to modern SOLID, TDD-driven standards. He currently works with Symfony, TypeScript and React while pursuing Golang and Laravel personally, and maintains a daily PHP 8.2 development rhythm with Docker-based stacks. Ron has led engineering and technical teams across education and e-commerce platforms, shipping self-developed commercial applications for inventory and timesheet management that improved KPIs and operational efficiency. He enjoys tackling complex, repetitive bugs at their root and designing robust data models that scale, and is comfortable across Linux, Nginx/Apache, Docker, and SQL ecosystems. Outside professional roles he runs an online game built with Delphi/ASP, showing a long-standing practical interest in shipping and operating software end-to-end. Colleagues value his attention to detail, code-review discipline and appetite for learning new frameworks and practices.
