Senior🎓
Top SchoolRon Valstar is a senior front-end developer based in Amsterdam with 13 years of experience crafting responsive, performant web applications and design-driven interfaces. With a foundation in graphic and interaction design (BA/MA from HKU), he blends visual sensibility with pragmatic engineering—building SPAs in React and Angular and creating design systems for e-learning and enterprise clients. He has delivered production applications for organizations like Vodafone, Randstad and ASN Bank, and co-founded Shapers where he shipped education-focused platforms early in his career. Comfortable across full-stack workflows, he’s tackled legacy refactors, performance optimization, build tooling improvements and component testing, and has experience integrating with varied backends including Laravel, WordPress REST APIs and Haxe systems. Notable is his long-running self-employed practice, which reflects a consistent focus on translating complex product needs into maintainable front-end architecture.
