Top SchoolRonaldo Fernandes is a Senior Software Engineer and architect with over 20 years of experience delivering cloud-native, microservices-based systems, currently driving high-volume transaction processing at Teya in Lisbon. He combines deep Java and integration expertise with hands-on leadership in Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS and CI/CD, and has led fintech settlement and payments projects using polyglot stacks including Go and TypeScript. Known for pairing rigorous application security and integration best practices with strong mentoring, he has migrated legacy on-prem platforms to cloud and guided identity/security transitions at enterprise scale. Ronaldo’s background spans Oracle and BEA-era SOA expertise through modern cloud architectures, giving him uncommon fluency across middleware, messaging, and cloud-native patterns. He’s as comfortable defining solution architecture and governance as he is writing and automating integration tests and observability for production systems.
