Rory Gibb is a Senior Research Fellow at UCL with a decade of experience studying global change ecology, zoonoses, and vector-borne diseases at the interface of climate and biodiversity. He leads research in the People & Nature Lab, combining advanced statistical modelling and data wrangling to quantify how environmental change alters disease risk. Trained with a Distinction MRes in Biodiversity, Evolution & Conservation and a first-class BSc from Bristol, he bridges ecological theory and applied public-health questions. Rory’s work is distinguished by integrating large-scale climate and ecological datasets to reveal non-obvious links between biodiversity shifts and emerging pathogen dynamics. Based in London, he brings both rigorous academic grounding and practical skills in reproducible data analysis to interdisciplinary teams.
