Top SchoolRoss Lafferty is a Sr. Staff Platform Engineer with 11 years of experience building resilient, scalable infrastructure and full-stack applications across startups and enterprise teams. He has led platform and BI migrations, performance tuning, and automation efforts at companies like Galileo, Coinbase, and Stitch Fix, consistently turning fragile systems into highly available, high-performing platforms. Comfortable from Oracle Exadata data warehouses to cloud-native deployments and CI/CD tooling, he combines deep hands-on technical skill with practical architecture and process improvements. Known for driving dramatic ETL and query performance gains and creating reusable “cookbook” solutions, he balances tactical execution with strategic platform vision. Based in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, he brings cross-disciplinary communication strengths that help bridge engineering, data, and product teams. Outside work his GitHub bio hints at a playful personality—poetry, puns, and PRs—reflecting an engineer who values craft and culture as much as code.
