Senior🎓
Top SchoolRowland Ekemezie is a VP of Engineering based in Vancouver with a decade of experience building and scaling cloud-native systems, distributed teams, and automated deployment pipelines. He has led product-aligned integrations, rebuilt dynamic permission frameworks, and launched a payments and payroll system that processed ~1M transactions in its first six months. A pragmatic leader and "automated system enthusiast," he pairs hands-on architecture (GraphQL, React, Next.js, TypeScript, AWS) with global hiring and developer-network growth—having hired 40+ engineers across five continents. Rowland has a track record of unifying engineering practices across teams to improve CI/CD, testing, and onboarding while also providing high-level consultancy to clients. He champions human capital development through mentorship, documentation, and recruitment initiatives, not just code and infrastructure. That blend of operational rigor and talent-building makes him effective at turning complex engineering needs into scalable, repeatable outcomes.
