Senior🎓
Top SchoolRoy Nieterau is Head of Pipeline at Ynput and a founder-driven pipeline architect with 12 years of experience building production-ready tools for animation and VFX. He co-founded Colorbleed, designed its end-to-end pipeline, and made early commits to projects that evolved into AYON, blending hands-on Python, MEL, and C++ plugin work with creative leadership on commercials. Roy’s strength is translating production realities into reliable, scalable open-source infrastructure that keeps artists in the driver’s seat. Equally comfortable behind the camera and inside the terminal, he bridges client needs, developer teams, and community contributors to deliver tools that hold up under deadline pressure. Based in Utrecht with an MA in 3D animation and VFX, he’s focused on making professional pipelines accessible and practical for studios of all sizes.
