Roy Poystila
Summary
Roy Poystila is a senior technical leader and software architect with over 18 years of hands-on experience designing and delivering enterprise-grade solutions across cloud, middleware, and on-prem platforms. Currently a Technical Team Lead at CGI, he blends deep Salesforce and integration expertise (Apex, Visualforce, Boomi, SAML/SSO) with a history of building resilient distributed systems, ETL pipelines, and performance-tuned applications. Roy has repeatedly led and mentored teams of engineers while owning architecture decisions, deployment automation, and risk-managed technology stacks across industries from government to healthcare. He is as comfortable prototyping new technologies in-stream as he is enforcing engineering rigor through CI, automated testing, and peer review. Not obvious from job titles: he has built master/slave appliance systems and custom ETL/data warehouse tools that reduced operational effort by orders of magnitude. Based in Langford, BC, he combines pragmatic delivery focus with a strong security and scalability mindset.
