Senior🎓
Top SchoolRoy Voetman is a Cloud Solutions Engineer based in the Netherlands with nine years of software engineering experience spanning cloud integration, backend systems, and applied AI research. He currently develops the Cloud Integration Platform at RDW and has a track record of leading teams and delivering proofs-of-concept—from a quantum/classical ML comparison at CGI to steering a self-driving kart software team. Roy pairs strong academic grounding (top grades in Software Engineering and advanced study in Computer Vision & Data Science) with pragmatic engineering: migrating proprietary packages to open source, optimizing runtime database interactions, and redesigning legacy architectures for portability. He favors thoughtful, tool-agnostic solutions—echoed in his Dijkstra-quoting GitHub bio—and brings a blend of research curiosity and production-focused delivery to cloud and AI projects.
