Top SchoolRudra Saraswat is a project lead and BDFL based in the UK with eight years of experience building and shepherding community-driven Ubuntu remixes and OS projects. An official Ubuntu member, he created and leads Ubuntu Unity, Ubuntu Web Remix, Gamebuntu, UbuntuEd, and the blendOS initiative, blending desktop polish with community-oriented distribution engineering. He brings hands-on product leadership across packaging, UI/UX for desktop environments (notably Unity 7/UnityX), and distribution maintenance while coordinating contributor workflows and releases. Known for juggling multiple remixes and experimental forks, Rudra combines technical stewardship with active community outreach via project channels and social media. His work demonstrates an uncommon mix of upstream collaboration and experiment-driven distro design, turning desktop ideas into maintained, user-facing releases.
