Top SchoolRui Alves is a Senior Site Reliability Engineer based in Porto with nine years of experience building and operating backend services, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure—primarily on AWS. At Kevel he progressed from software engineer to senior SRE, driving reliability, automation, and SOC2-readiness for Audience and Forecast products while authoring IaC and security scanning solutions. His background includes backend work in Scala and Java, supply-chain security automation at Palantir, and hands-on DevOps from earlier full‑stack and research roles, giving him a strong cross-cutting view of product engineering and operational security. Beyond work he brings methodical problem solving from competitive chess and creative discipline from playing guitar and mandolin, traits that surface in his clean, automated approaches to infrastructure. His public GitHub (xRuiAlves) collects his projects and demonstrates a pragmatic focus on automation and reproducible deployments.
