RockstarRui Huang is a senior data science leader with over a decade of experience applying optimization, operations research, and machine learning to large-scale supply chain and e-commerce problems. He currently leads supply chain optimization for Walmart’s perishable business and has previously driven measurable gains—such as a ~10% pickup in efficiency at Coupang and a 50% reduction in last-mile distance at Wayfair—by translating research-grade algorithms into production. With a Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon and a strong background in control and optimization from UTC and academia, he blends deep technical rigor (mixed-integer, stochastic programming, NMPC) with hands-on product delivery and team development. Rui is also exploring generative AI, geometric deep learning, LLMs and drug-screening applications, reflecting a curiosity that spans foundational research to practical recommender and decision systems.
