Summary
👤
SeniorRuslan Avantis is a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Node.js with over a decade of hands-on experience building API-driven integrations and end-to-end e-commerce automation. He currently drives backend development at API Nation and previously spent years creating and commercializing his own platforms—joomiMart and joomiERP—demonstrating deep expertise across marketplaces, ERPs, and RESTful APIs. Comfortable across the stack, he pairs cloud-first approaches (Google Cloud, Firebase), robust data work (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis) and production practices (Docker, CI/CD) with practical frontend and templating experience. An entrepreneur at heart, he has founded multiple startups and storefronts, which gives him a rare product-minded perspective for engineering trade-offs and operational realities. Not obvious from the title: he also has extensive experience building chatbots and integrations for messaging platforms, making him adept at event-driven and real-time use cases.
