Senior🎓
Top SchoolRuslan Sabitov is a Big Data SRE based in Lisbon with over a decade of hands-on experience operating and modernizing petabyte-scale Hadoop ecosystems and distributed data platforms. He has led design, security and HA implementations for massive clusters (50+ PB / 700 nodes) and driven migrations to AWS using IaC with Terraform and Terragrunt, including EMR Serverless transitions. At Evolution he automated monitoring and access flows—implementing Apache Knox with OKTA—and built metric-driven detection for HDFS anomalies, reflecting a pragmatic blend of SRE, security and engineering. His background spans banking and enterprise environments where he built Kerberos/LDAP integrations, HBase tuning and custom YARN job monitoring tooling (Python/Java), showing depth across storage, compute and ops automation. Comfortable moving teams from legacy on-prem systems to cloud-native architectures, he pairs deep operational expertise with a talent for turning complex requirements into auditable, production-ready solutions.
