Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolRussell Teabeault is a pragmatic, execution-focused senior principal software engineer with over two decades of industry experience and 13 years in senior roles driving large-scale systems. Based in Boulder, he has led high-impact initiatives at Twitter—owning Enterprise/Public APIs tied to $400M annual revenue, real-time consumption tracking that cut latency from 30 minutes to 10 seconds, and petabyte-scale privacy scrubbing—and now applies that operational rigor at Workday. He repeatedly champions continuous delivery, having moved organizations from multi-week releases to daily deploys and cut infrastructure costs dramatically by tuning distributed systems and reducing cloud request volumes. Equally comfortable in backend systems, search, and deployment automation, Russell blends hands-on coding (Java, Clojure, Scala) with mentoring and teaching to raise team capability. A practical innovator, he often focuses on simplifying complexity—turning slow, expensive processes into efficient, scalable pipelines that unlock product and developer productivity.
