Top SchoolRussell Uman is a seasoned cloud and observability engineer with 14 years of experience, currently serving as Staff Nephelococcygist and Sales Engineering Cloud Architect at Splunk in Singapore. He has progressed through roles in SRE, data engineering, and cloud operations at Splunk, blending deep technical expertise in public cloud, observability, and cybersecurity with customer-facing solution architecture. Russell has a long history of practical web and systems work dating back to early roles as a web engineer, DBA, and hacker, which gives him a pragmatic, hands-on approach to complex production problems. He balances technical leadership with commercial impact—translating operational telemetry into sales-ready cloud architectures.
