Senior🎓
Top SchoolRuth Frost is a freelance technical writer with 15+ years designing scalable, user-first documentation systems for healthcare, enterprise software, and government clients. She specializes in structured authoring (DITA/XML), content reuse, and single-sourcing to reduce support burden and keep multi-product content consistent across releases. Ruth has led documentation programs at GE HealthCare, EMC/Dell, and Leidos Biomedical Research, building frameworks from scratch and migrating legacy content while ensuring regulatory and accessibility compliance. She pairs deep process and governance work—style guides, templates, audits—with hands-on deliverables like API references, training materials, and multimedia assets. Known for conducting hundreds of SME interviews and mentoring junior writers, she thrives in Agile teams where documentation is treated as a strategic asset rather than an afterthought. Based in the Washington DC–Baltimore area, she blends technical rigor with a user-centered instinct: when her docs work, nobody notices, and nobody has to call support.
