Top SchoolRyan Armstrong is a visiting researcher and tenure-track lecturer based in Barcelona who blends systems thinking and problem-structuring methods to help teams and managers navigate complex organizational challenges. With a decade of experience spanning academia and applied program design, he designs interactive activities, games, and evidence-based interventions that align strategy, resolve conflict, and restore healthy learning cycles. His research has been published in international peer-reviewed management outlets, and he edits for the International Journal of Organization Theory & Behavior, bridging rigorous scholarship with practical impact. At Otu Labs he focuses on reducing distress in research communities through targeted training and coaching, an often-overlooked but critical organizational lever. Comfortable at the intersection of strategy and operations, he draws on prior analytics and systems work at HireMojo to translate insights into measurable improvements. Colleagues describe him as someone who turns abstract systems ideas into tangible team practices that actually change how people work together.
