Top SchoolRyan Cranfill is a founder, data scientist, and creative coder with nine years of experience turning messy problems into data-driven products and prototypes for clients ranging from Fortune 10 companies to startups. He blends human-centered design with production-grade engineering—shipping everything from rapid Python/Vue flight-test systems for airlines to StyleGAN-based real-time music-video generators. At IDEO he helped define how data science integrates with design, and his consulting work includes over 30 completed projects across mobility, healthcare, and education. He builds end-to-end pipelines and production services (AWS, Celery, Flask) and has a knack for dramatic performance gains, such as an 800x speedup by parallelizing an optimizer with serverless compute. Based in the Greater Chicago Area and trained in acoustics, he brings an unusual mix of signal-processing intuition, product-first thinking, and hands-on software craftsmanship.
