Top SchoolRyan Deshotels is a Mechanical Design Engineer with five years of hands-on experience designing, analyzing, and commissioning industrial machinery for bulk solids handling and food processing. Based in Dallas, he combines practical field commissioning and troubleshooting with rigorous engineering analysis—using ANSYS, MATLAB, Inventor, and first-principles derivations—to optimize vibration, bearing life, fatigue, and manufacturability. He has driven engineer-to-order projects end-to-end, from footprint coordination and requirements definition to manufacturing support and legacy drive upgrades, and led part standardization efforts to cut complexity. Notably, his background spans both on-site startup work and retrofitting machine tools for additive manufacturing, showing a knack for translating lab-scale innovation into production-ready solutions.
